Custom Lighting Enquiry
Hi there! I just came across your cloud lamp and absolutely fell in love with it. I could tell right away that your shop focuses mostly on pottery — which, by the way, is beautifully designed. This lamp really stood out, not just because it’s unique, but because it still carries that same thoughtful, handcrafted feel as the rest of your pieces.
I’m in the process of opening a mental health clinic (inspired by clouds, of course — think light, softness, imagination, hope…). Even our logo is a brain shaped like a cloud. ☁️🧠
I’ve actually ordered a few lights here and there — just to see them in person, feel the materials, and get a sense of what really works. Some were lovely, others… not so much. I’ll show you the ones that caught my eye and share a bit about the challenges I’ve run into. This space I’m creating is still in its early stages — it’s a slow bloom. I have another job at the moment, so this will take time… probably another 8 months or so. But trust me, it’s a passion project from the heart. ☁️✨
Lamp Number 1
I ordered this one from AliExpress — it’s minimal and fits the aesthetic of the space, which I loved. The light is dimmable, but in a very basic, almost clunky way. It doesn’t use a standard socket either, which makes it a bit less flexible. Honestly, it gives off a lot of light — maybe too much. I think it could work for a reception area, but for individual therapy rooms where coziness is key? It doesn’t quite hit the mark. I want people to feel held by the space. Since I’m combining mental health therapy with reflexology, creating a warm, soft, inviting atmosphere is non-negotiable. Cozy is everything. ☁️🕯️💆♀️
Light Number 2
I completely fell in love with these lamps — also from AliExpress. They’re originally by an Italian designer who called them Lampada Nuvola (how dreamy is that name?). In the photos, they look absolutely stunning — soft, sculptural, like little clouds plucked from a design magazine. I ordered two to see them in real life… but after a whole month, the seller never shipped them. The order was canceled and I got a refund (thankfully!). So I tried again with another supplier in China — fingers crossed — but they’ll take another month and a half to arrive… if they arrive. 😅 Apparently, these are dimmable too, but not with a standard light socket — they use some kind of internal lighting setup that’s a little mysterious. Let’s just say… these clouds have been harder to catch than expected! ☁️📦
And this is when I found your store
I’ll be honest — I was starting to feel a little disheartened. The ceiling lamps I ordered from AliExpress looked nice in theory (probably fine for a reception area), but in reality, they give off so much light. Even though they’re technically dimmable, they don’t create the cozy, calming atmosphere I need for treatment rooms.
That’s why your lamp caught my eye. I loved that it uses a standard light socket — it opens the door to using quality dimmable bulbs, which is exactly what I’ve been searching for to create a softer ambiance. I noticed in your Etsy listing that you’re open to discussing a larger size, and I’d really love to explore that with you.
I’ll share a few reference images of other lamps as well, just to give you an idea of the size I’m aiming for. ☁️✨
These images are just for size reference. I read your lamp is 9.6 inches x 15.5 inches. I guess I would buy 2 of those and have 2 custom made to be double the size; like 19.6 inches x 31 inches; and I image one central cloud that is 4 times the original small size, something like 39 inches x 62 inches. Also, I would like to ask if you would be open to designing apart from these custom sizes, ceiling lamps with your style but cloud shaped, maybe you could take by reference the first images that I provided or come up with a unique cloud design.
A bit more context
This is very much a long-term dream for me. I’ve always wanted to create something in the health space — something meaningful, healing, and beautifully designed. Right now, I work in production (it’s what pays the bills), but I’m slowly bringing this vision to life, one step at a time. For instance, I recently launched a TikTok account where I created a Spanish-speaking character who explores dark psychology — it’s a little bold, a little unexpected, and somehow it resonated. I’ve already grown it to around 25,000 followers with just those videos.
So yes — I’m just getting started, but I want to build this world carefully, intentionally. The physical space is a huge part of that. I want it to feel nothing like a traditional mental health clinic — softer, more imaginative, more comforting.
If you’re open to creating a custom lamp, I’d be thrilled. We can absolutely handle everything through Etsy, and I’m happy to pay for the design work as well. I’ve worked in set design and with industrial designers before, so I completely understand and value the creative process.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, I’d love to chat more and see where it takes us. Thank you so much for reading. ☁️💡✨
Pilot Room
I’m including a few photos of the pilot room I’m building — I’ve actually transformed the second bedroom in my apartment to test out this “floating on a cloud” design concept. So far, I’ve painted the space and added some of the lamps I mentioned earlier… but they give off way too much light for a treatment room. That’s exactly where I feel your designs could elevate the space.
With the right dimmable sockets and lighting pieces — especially a ceiling lamp — I think the room could feel so much cozier, more intimate. And if you ever feel inspired to design a matching table lamp too, I’d absolutely be open to exploring that!
You can message me directly on Etsy, and if you're open to it, we could even hop on a Zoom call to chat more. I’m a regular Etsy buyer, so all transactions can be done through the platform — no worries there. I’m really excited about the possibility of collaborating with you, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Looking forward to connecting! ☁️🪄
Warmly,
Eduardo.
